Kodak Premoette Junior No.1

Taking twelve 2¼" x 3¼" pictures using a film pack, the construction of this camera is particularly minimal. The front door opens to reveal the Ball Bearing shutter assembly on a totally unsupported bellows. A tongue below the shutter is then inserted in one of two slots in the door, the front slot being for 6-20 feet, the rear slot for subjects further away. The lens, which is behind the shutter on this example, has a fully adjustable aperture numbered 1 to 4, approximately f/11-f/32 according to a contempory Kodak publication. This model was renamed from the original Premoette Junior of 1911-12 with the introduction of the No.1A. The leather handle is simply embossed "Premoette", reference to the model number being found on the inside of the film door on the back of the camera. This camera was aquired with a partially used film pack of 'Kodak Super-XX' fitted, the tabs of which can be seen protruding from the top of the body.
