No.2C Folding Autographic Brownie
The earlier model (1916-17), shown above, is fitted with Bausch & Laumb Rapid Rectilinear lens in a three-speed ball-bearing shutter. The red panel, just seen behind the focussing scale on the left-hand side of the baseboard, is an enamel and gilt label marked "W. Le Cheminant, Photo Works - Jersey". No doubt the original retailers of the camera, when such items were more of a luxury than they are today.
